Blurb
Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.
Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.
Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about him. Immortals (Book 2)

Blurb

Nothing can stop Raine Cooper when she wants something…
Raine finally knows that her gorgeous neighbor, Torin St. James, is a legend straight out of Norse mythology, and that her feelings for him are strong. Torin is crazy about Raine too, breaking the one rule he lives by: Never fall for a mortal. The problem is he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns—Norse destiny deities—to punish her for defying them.
So Raine comes up with a plan…
She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again. But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves.

Grimnirs (Book 2.5)

Blurb

Straight out of the psyche ward, Cora just wants her life to be normal. She doesn’t want to see souls or the reapers collecting them. The love of her life, the guy she’s loved from a distance for years, has moved away without saying goodbye. So yes, she’s nursing a serious heartbreak. It’s no wonder love is the last thing on her mind when Echo storms into her life.
The chemistry between them is mind-blowing. The connection defies logic. It doesn’t help that Echo is the poster boy for everything she hates in a guy—hot, beautiful, and cocky. A general pain-in-the-butt. Being around him makes her feel more alive than she’s ever felt before. But more important, the souls leave her alone when he is around.
Echo is perfect for her. Echo might even be her soul-mate. There is only one problem. Echo is a freaking soul reaper. A Grimnir. The very beings she wants out of her life. Maybe normal is overrated because Cora wants it all. Answers. Love. A life. You see, once you fall for a Grimnir, your life will never be the same again.

Awakened (Book 1)

But Bran has a secret that can ruin their growing relationship, and the truth she discovers may destroy everything she believes in unless she finds the right balance between love and sacrifice.

Betrayed (Book 2)
Amazon | B&N
Goodreads
Blurb
Lil isn’t just an average teenager. She’s one of the Nephilim–the descendants of humans and angels–which gives her some serious psi skills and a mission for redemption. Just when Lil thinks she’s found a balance between her normal life with human friends and her training to become a Guardian, she’s warned that someone close to her will betray her. When the boy she loves starts acting strangely and one of her human friends acquires a supernatural ability, Lil begins to realize that someone is manipulating the people she loves… and won’t stop until she’s been lured to the dark side.

Hunted (Book 3)
Amazon | B&N
Goodreads
Blurb
Bran and Lil may have escaped an attempt to lure Lil to the dark side,
and recovered the contracts damned people signed with Bran when he was
a soul collector, but someone forgot to tell them that no one switches sides or
cancels contracts without consequences.
Hunted by an unknown but powerful enemy, Lil, Bran and the Guardians must
seek help from unlikely sources to avert total annihilation of the Guardians.
When they finally face their enemy, one of them may have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Immortal Tour Stop and Giveaway and SURPRISE teaser: Amazon bestseller series Runes (book 1), Immortals (book 2) #mustread #YAlit

Book Title: Immortals
Series: Runes
Author: Ednah Walters
Release Date: August 5th2013
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Length: 342 Pages
Publisher: Firetrail Publishing

Okay, I'm blown away by readers' response to this series. You've put my name out there and I can't thank you enough. I promise not to disappoint you and will continue churning out these amazing stories.  So, instead of posting an excerpt on Torin's POV, expect to see it in its entirely in the Immortals Special Edition paperback (Coming soon):

Instead, I have a surprise for you, two excerpts. One is from GRIMNIRS, the next Runes book (Release date TBA): (Surprise Julia Hendrix and Jeannette Whitus, bet you didn't see this coming)

EXCERPT 1

The woman reached up to stroke the cashier’s hair, but her hand went through his head and dropped to her side, tears filling her eyes. Another ghost. I averted my eyes so she wouldn’t catch me watching her.

Whoever created Casper the Friendly Ghost got it wrong. Ghosts weren’t white blobs floating aimlessly around and helping people. Neither did they flicker like holograms on a drug trip. They looked real like regular humans. No gaping wounds and half-chopped limbs. They weren’t even freaking transparent.
I focused on helping Mom with the groceries. I picked cans and bottles from the cart and put them on the moving counter, but I could still see the crying ghost from the corner of my eye. I didn’t want to feel sorry for her or care. Why couldn’t they just move on already? I stole a glance at her again and caught her eyes on me.
Please don’t talk to me… Please, please, please, don’t talk to me…
The month I’d spent in a psyche ward was enough. I was never ever going back. Psych ward had the most annoying ghosts. They were crazy alive and crazier dead. My heart pounding, I looked down.
This ability to see ghosts was a curse. A big, fat, ugly curse I was struggling to deal with and failing miserably. I still didn’t know how or why I could see dead people. All I knew was that it started three months ago the night lightning hit the pool during a swim meet and killed my friends. A few of us had survived, but something happened to me that night. I actually saw my friends’ ghosts and the angelic, glowing beings who’d led them away. My mistake was telling my parents. That was how I ended up in the psych ward.
I shivered again and rubbed my arms.
“Are you cold?” Mom asked.
I gave her a tiny smile. “A little. I should have brought a jacket.”
Mom started to shrug off her coat.
“No, Mom. I’m fine. Really,” I added when she shot me a skeptical glance.
“Okay. Should we have tacos for dinner tonight?” she asked.
I didn’t care. I just wanted to go home. Not that the ghosts left me alone there either. But at least I had the means to get rid of them.
“Or maybe lamb chops and potatoes,” Mom added, her voice upbeat.
I loved Lamb chops and she knew it. She was trying to butter up before hitting me with the bad news. I’d overheard her and Dad discuss me this morning. They wanted me homeschooled. Who was homeschooled in their junior year of high school? They might as well write ‘freak’ on my forehead.
I mean, seeing ghosts made me a freak already. No need letting the entire world know by homeschooling me after I’d already spent a year and a half in high school. I hadn’t minded being homeschooled when I was younger. Never even found it strange that my parents had a problem with me, their only child, attending Kayville Elementary School where they taught.
No, I planned to finish high school like a normal person. Screw the ghosts. They were not stopping me from living a normal life. I’d already missed five weeks of school because of them, a month of that in Providence Mental Institute. If anyone at my school knew about PMI, my life would be over.
My eyes drifted to the ghost. She was still staring at me. I glared back this time, daring her to talk to me. Not that that ever stopped them.
She smiled and I baced myself. I knew what was coming.

Excerpt from OVERBOARD, New adult book (Release date TBA):

Hot body alert!
Oh no, it was the guy from the balcony. One look at that ass and I’d recognize him anywhere. Looked better au naturel though. He leaned down and pressed a kiss on the blonde’s cheek. I tried to avert my eyes, but like last night, I couldn’t look away. He had the hottest body I’d ever seen on a man.
He turned and my heart stopped.
Good Lord, he was even more beautiful in daylight. Younger too. Somehow I’d assumed he would be in his late-twenties, but he looked younger. Early twenties perhaps? Our eyes met and my breath caught. Full, sensual lips lifted in a half-smile as though he knew I’d been staring at his ass. And drooling. And remembering last night.
He started toward me, his stride purposeful, broad shoulders, narrow hips, and powerful legs deliciously wrapped in designer jeans. He had to be six-three or four, which was tall for little five-six me. The black T-shirt spread taut over his broad shoulders and hinted at the rock-hard six pack I’d glimpsed last night.
His medium-length dark hair was thick and wavy, but his most striking feature was his eyes. They were so pale they looked silver. Throw in the strong chin and chiseled jaw, and high cheekbones and you had a man who could easily grace the covers of any fashion magazine.
He skirted around tables and people, his eyes not leaving me. Every instinct in my body told me to look away, ignore him, but like last night, I couldn’t look away.
“Excuse me, miss,” a man said behind me and I realized I’d been rooted on the same spot in a crowded restaurant. How humiliating.
“Sorry.” I whipped around and scooped the first offering on the buffet. Eggs. He was right behind me. I couldn’t explain how I knew. I just did.
“It tastes like crap,” he said in a smooth, deep voice, the effect on me startling. Something primal scuttled under my skin. I shivered.
“I love crap,” I said and reached for the bacon.
“Greasy,” he said.
I wanted to turn around and order him to leave me alone. I had enough crap dealing with one man who wanted my body at a crazy price without dealing with another messing with my head.
“Let me buy you breakfast and a decent cup of coffee,” he said, his voice dropping an octave. The timbre of his voice was sinfully seductive.
I wanted to continue ignoring him, but I had to make it clear that I wasn’t going anywhere with him. I turned and looked into eyes so full of raw sensuality my jaw dropped. Holy crap, how do women let him walk down the street without attacking him? Up close, those silver babies were lethal.
His brows shot up. “Is that a yes?”

OKAY: Sorry for spoiling the tour, but I had to share these teasers .

MALL SCENE in TORIN'S POV

Raine was standing in front of a mirror when I arrived at the store. Smiling, I leaned against the wall and watched her. Mine. That was who she was. Mine, the woman who’d come to mean the world to me.
“You look stunning.”
She whipped around and gasped. “What are you doing here?”
“Looking for you.” Thin straps left most of her shoulders bare, but I loved the way the back of the dress dipped and exposed her smooth, unblemished skin. A dress guaranteed to incite a riot, or screw with a man’s head. She wasn’t wearing a bra, which presented so many possibilities. Unable to resist, I pushed against the wall and moved closer, needing to touch her. Claim her. “Following your essence hasn’t been easy. You’ve been all over the mall.”
“My essence?”
“Yes, your essence.” The freckle on her nape was begging me to lower my head and kiss it, but I knew I wouldn’t want to stop there. “Andris is back, so I thought I’d give you a heads up.”
“Where was he?”
“He took a friend home.” I blew out a breath. “You take my breath away, Freckles. You always have, but in that dress... I want to claim you and to Hel with the consequences.”
She went still, her eyes wide. I held her gaze.
“The color adds green flecks to your eyes, and the material,” I imagined running my hands down her hips and pulling her closer, “hugs your lush curves in just the right places.”
When she didn’t respond, I took that as permission to indulge myself. I put my hands on her hips and slowly pulled her closer until our bodies touched. The feel of her body against mine went straight to my head. My heart pounded hard with excitement. No woman had ever had this kind of effect on me.
“If you were mine,” I whispered, “we’d have a private dance for just the two of us before I shared you with the world.” The lock of a cubicle clicked, warning me her friend was about to join us. I willed runes to appear on my skin and became invisible.
“Who are you talking to?” Cora asked, sticking her head out of the changing room.
“I, uh, I was talking to myself,” Raine stammered.
“How could you say that is cute? You look fabulous,” Cora said. “Turn around.”
Raine turned and I reached out and ran a finger down her back. She trembled and stumbled as though her knees had given away. I wrapped my arms around her waist, her back resting against my chest. Not able to help myself, I pressed my cheek against hers and inhaled. She smelled great.
“You okay?” Cora asked. “You just stumbled.”
Raine stiffened and tried to move from my arms, but I refused to let her go.
“I did?” she asked weakly. “I must be more tired than I thought.”
“Then let’s finish here. Oh, and you’re buying that dress or I’m never shopping with you ever,” Cora threatened, moving closer to the mirror to study her own reflection.
“I’ll shop with you,” I whispered in Raine’s ear. “You can buy anything you want.” I kissed her shoulder. She trembled. I loved the way she reacted to my touch. I pressed my lips along her neck and kissed the freckle on her nape. I wanted more. Greedily, I suckled her skin, nipped and soothed it with my tongue. She moaned and closed her eyes, tilting her neck to give me better access.
“What are you doing?” Cora asked, studying her through the mirror since I was still invisible.
Raine froze.
“I’m, uh, imagining I’m dancing in this dress,” she said in a squeaky voice then tried again to put some distance between us. Once again, I refused to let her go. “I’d love to buy it, but it’s outside my price range.”
“Charge it,” Cora said. “Your mother gave you a credit card, didn’t she?”
“No, just the debit,” Raine said.
“I have money, Freckles,” I whispered against her shoulder. “Plenty of it. I’ll buy it for you. You can wear it just for me.”
“Okay, I’ll buy it,” she said, wiggling. I chuckled and let her go.
As she disappeared back into the changing room, I walked through the store unseen and headed to the nearest mirror. I couldn’t wait to see her dolled up for Homecoming Dance.
