Worse, they involve Torin. With her mother gone, her father dying, and her best friend in Hel, she is not sure who to talk to.

But when the visions become more personal and she foresees her future with Torin threatened by someone from his past, Raine becomes desperate for answers. Just her luck two new students arrive at her school and they seem to have answers. When with them, her powers are enhanced and her visions become clear. There is only one problem: Torin forbids Raine to see the two girls.

Can their love survive without trust?

 TEASER

“Who said I’m playing.”

He braced himself on the door frame and lowered his head until he and I were on the same eye level.

“You told me to stay away from you. Unforgiveable. You implied our relationship might not last. Totally wrong and cruel. But the worst part, you said your feelings for me made you weak.”

His eyebrows shot up.

“Weak? Seriously? What in Hel’s Mist does that mean?”

He was serious.

“Are you forgetting what happened before I said those things?”

“So no apology?”

“No.” I was dying to, but he had to understand I wasn’t a breakable doll.

He stepped back and slammed the door in my face.

My jaw dropped. No, he didn’t. That arrogant man didn’t just do that.

Interview with Chase Taylor

What is your preferred style of clothing to wear?
Jeans and t-shirts
What are you most hopeless at?
Cooking. I can’t cook at all.
What is your birth date and current age?
July 15, 1998 I’m 16
What, if anything, does your zodiac sign mean to you?
I think that every person has aspects that relate to their zodiac sign. For example I am a Cancer and I can be very impulsive and very intense.
How would you spend an unexpected day off?
I would spend the day with Annisa. We are always so busy it would be nice to have a day where we could just lounge on the beach or lay around on the couch.
Is your currently family close? Are they a source of support or stress?
My family is extremely close. We all support each other and help alleviate stress.
What is your relationship status as the start of the story?
Single
Whom would you contact first to share good news?
Annisa
What crisis are you facing at the start of the story?
I am facing a combined punishment. We have all been in an endless cycle of punishment and we have to find our way out of it.
What makes this crisis such a challenge for you in particular?
I am at the mercy of everyone else. Annisa is the one that has to make the choice and even though I know what the answer is I have to wait for her to come to that decision on her own. I hate to see her suffer and any time I try to help it only makes things worse.
What makes your blood boil?
Being manipulated or watching as someone that I care about is being manipulated and there is nothing I can do about it.
What was your first impression of the heroine?
From the moment I saw her I knew we were meant to be together. She was the most beautiful, caring and thoughtful person that I had ever met.
How accurate was this first impression?
Extremely accurate.

The Parker Harris Series Tour /Guest Post @AmythaMcclung

Why Choosing Your Setting is Important

The setting has the potential to make or break the validity of a story. For The Parker Harris Series I needed a location that would be natural for wolves in the area and that also had waterfalls. Cascades Idaho was a small town that came up in my search and the pictures of the area were exactly what I pictured for my story. I researched every aspect of Cascades so that it would seem as though I'd been there. After I released the book, a person that grew up in Cascades read it and said I captured the town perfectly and that was one of the best compliments I could have gotten in my opinion. In my NA series, I wrote the characters living in Nashville which is where I grew up. I've found that having a personal knowledge of the setting makes it even easier to really draw the perfect picture of what the character is experiencing. If you don't choose the right setting or research one thoroughly it can take away from the story especially for someone familiar with the city. My dad asked me once why I didn't just make up a random city like Gotham, etc. To me it seems to add a dose of reality if you use a real place. Especially a town like Nashville that has a large population and is a large tourist spot. It allows people to get lost in the story more, it gives it a feeling as though you're reading about real people. That's how I feel about it at least. I read a book once just because Nashville was in the title and I was excited to know all the places they visited because I'd grown up there!

Stories of Amytha's past begin to surface causing her family to investigate more into where she came from.

“I hope you rot in Tartarus,”

Title:  Betrayed
Series:  The Guardian Legacy [Book 2]
Length:  343 Pages
Genre:  YA Fantasy
TEASER
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12976592-betrayed

Five of Valafar’s men, dressed all in black except for the gleaming ruby stones on the pins holding their cloaks and on their belt buckles, entered the room. Behind them came Kenta; he carried a black leather bag with strange writings, clasps, and more rubies. It was the same bag Valafar had had, when I first retrieved the Kris Dagger from the cave on Coronis Isle.

“I told Valafar—if you want something done right, you do it yourself,” Solange bragged. She gestured to Kenta. “Remove their weapons.”

“Traitor,” I snarled at Kenta.

He winced, but emptied my pockets, then moved to my boots. As our former trainer, he knew everything—where we hid weapons, our weaknesses and strengths, our favorite weapons. He touched the knife I hid inside a pouch in my right boot, but didn’t remove it.

Our gazes met – his apologetic, mine probably puzzled. Maybe he was regretting his decision, now that he knew Valafar had used him and he wouldn’t be my trainer, after all, or this was his way of redeeming himself after his betrayal. He had trained me for months and knew me. He patted my boot, as though to tell me to use the dagger, then moved on.

Kim kicked him, but he caught her booted leg.

“Don’t judge me, Kim,” he snarled.

“Don’t tell me what to do, you evil backstabber,” she retorted.

“I hope you rot in Tartarus,” Izzy hissed.

“Enough!” Solange yelled. “Finish and give me the bag, Kenta. My father wants the weapons kept with the dagger in the vault. No chance in Tartarus any of you are getting your hands on them again,” she taunted. “Come, starting with you, Lilith.”

I ground my teeth and walked forward. The hated hollow feeling settled in my stomach, and my heartbeat went into overdrive. The cramp on my side wasn’t going away, either. Where were Dante and Kael?

Eye to eye with her, I paused. “I escaped before, and will again.”

“You got lucky,” she snarled, and shoved me out the door.
