A Tribute to a Talented Lady, 1963-2012.

I have an eclectic taste in music, from classical music to R&B, classical rock to country. Like most people, I have favorite artists whose songs soothe me when I need to get out of a mental funk. Whitney Houston was one of them.

With all the techno drone/music out there, it is always nice to listen to artists with a vocal range like Whitney. I love her dance tunes and playful lyrics, but my all time favorites are the slow tunes, the ballads that touch us deeply and soothe our souls. Who could forget The Greatest Love of All or One Moment in Time. I tear up even now when I listen to her sing the Star-Spangled Banner...phew. May you rest with the angels, Whitney.

So here is a tribute to you:

THE DANCING TUNES

THE DEEP, SOULFUL TEAR JERKERS.

THE EXCEPTIONAL VOICE

R.I.P. Whitney Houston. Will always love you
