With winter upon us, let's warm up by sharing some of our favorite beach/summer reads! Thanks to Me, My Shelf and I & I Am A Reader Not A Writer for hosting this blog hop.

For those who haven't ready the GL series with  brooding and tortured hero Bran the charming and funny Sykes and the girl they love, Lil, here's a chance to start.

HUNTED, which will be released April 2013 is going to be an amazing summer read.
Add it on Goodreads. Before it hits the stores, start the series by reading BETRAYED (book #1). Book will be mailed from Book Depository or Amazon

    I'll read contemporary if I have to, but I love paranormal romances! I love being taken away from my life and being thrown into a world made up by an author. I love vampires, shifters, angels...I've read soo many good paranormal books! Lia Habel has a zombie YA paranormal series and those two books are awesome.

    I usually like paranormal/urban fantasy because they're more escapist, and tend to have more imaginative settings.

    I love both - contemporary because it's grittier with social issues, paranormal and urban fantasy because of the worlds. I can't choose!

    Right now, I am on a big PNR kick. I like contemporary romance, but right now I am appreciating the pure escapism of PNR.

    How can I choose, I love them both! I started reading almost all paranormal romances, and now I'm starting to read more and more contemporary romances for a change of pace. So I guess contemporary romances are starting to edge out ahead.

    I like both, but Paranormal/Urban Fantasy will be my first choice. There is something about slipping into another world with different rules that just lights my imagination up.

    It's a tie as to which I prefer. It depends on my mood when I'm reading. If I really want to "escape" then paranormal is the choice because you loose yourself in the authors creations. If I just wnat to relax and enjoy an easy read then I go for a contemporary romance. I'm a follower on goodreads as Cathy Fierstein

    Which one do you prefer? Contemporary romance or Paranormal/Urban Fantasy romance and why?
    Personally for me both and depending what I desire at the moment that I pick a book to daily (which is daily, I have a book or an eReader in my face reading something)
    Contemporary I enjoy when I need something just escape and paranormal for when I need to bit of something extra and something different that is out the range of the normal.

    I love them both! With paranormal I feel like taken away to another alternative dimention, being thrown into a different world with its own rules & see how that society works it is always fascinating but sometimes I just need my "cozy read" something light, lovely & very real and that's when I run to my next contemporary read ^^

    I prefer Paranormal/Urban Fantasy romance. I am more into fantasy because it puts you in to more of a dream world. It give you a chance to GET AWAY while reading :) Thanks for the chance.

    I love all romance, but if I have a choice between contemporary & paranormal, paranormal wins every time. I can't get enough of the good vs. bad they are filled with.

    I'll read contemporary romance and even have a few YA authors I love to read, but I definitely read paranormal more often. I love the different elements of paranormal, the good v. evil battle that happens every time, and they seem to have more action than a contemporary romance.
