Okay, I'm blown away by readers' response to this series. You've put my name out there and I can't thank you enough. I promise not to disappoint you and will continue churning out these amazing stories.  So, instead of posting an excerpt on Torin's POV, expect to see it in its entirely in the Immortals Special Edition paperback (Coming soon):

Instead, I have a surprise for you, two excerpts. One is from GRIMNIRS, the next Runes book (Release date TBA): (Surprise Julia Hendrix and Jeannette Whitus, bet you didn't see this coming)

EXCERPT 1

The woman reached up to stroke the cashier’s hair, but her hand went through his head and dropped to her side, tears filling her eyes. Another ghost. I averted my eyes so she wouldn’t catch me watching her.

Whoever created Casper the Friendly Ghost got it wrong. Ghosts weren’t white blobs floating aimlessly around and helping people. Neither did they flicker like holograms on a drug trip. They looked real like regular humans. No gaping wounds and half-chopped limbs. They weren’t even freaking transparent.
I focused on helping Mom with the groceries. I picked cans and bottles from the cart and put them on the moving counter, but I could still see the crying ghost from the corner of my eye. I didn’t want to feel sorry for her or care. Why couldn’t they just move on already? I stole a glance at her again and caught her eyes on me.
Please don’t talk to me… Please, please, please, don’t talk to me…
The month I’d spent in a psyche ward was enough. I was never ever going back. Psych ward had the most annoying ghosts. They were crazy alive and crazier dead. My heart pounding, I looked down.
This ability to see ghosts was a curse. A big, fat, ugly curse I was struggling to deal with and failing miserably. I still didn’t know how or why I could see dead people. All I knew was that it started three months ago the night lightning hit the pool during a swim meet and killed my friends. A few of us had survived, but something happened to me that night. I actually saw my friends’ ghosts and the angelic, glowing beings who’d led them away. My mistake was telling my parents. That was how I ended up in the psych ward.
I shivered again and rubbed my arms.
“Are you cold?” Mom asked.
I gave her a tiny smile. “A little. I should have brought a jacket.”
Mom started to shrug off her coat.
“No, Mom. I’m fine. Really,” I added when she shot me a skeptical glance.
“Okay. Should we have tacos for dinner tonight?” she asked.
I didn’t care. I just wanted to go home. Not that the ghosts left me alone there either. But at least I had the means to get rid of them.
“Or maybe lamb chops and potatoes,” Mom added, her voice upbeat.
I loved Lamb chops and she knew it. She was trying to butter up before hitting me with the bad news. I’d overheard her and Dad discuss me this morning. They wanted me homeschooled. Who was homeschooled in their junior year of high school? They might as well write ‘freak’ on my forehead.
I mean, seeing ghosts made me a freak already. No need letting the entire world know by homeschooling me after I’d already spent a year and a half in high school. I hadn’t minded being homeschooled when I was younger. Never even found it strange that my parents had a problem with me, their only child, attending Kayville Elementary School where they taught.
No, I planned to finish high school like a normal person. Screw the ghosts. They were not stopping me from living a normal life. I’d already missed five weeks of school because of them, a month of that in Providence Mental Institute. If anyone at my school knew about PMI, my life would be over.
My eyes drifted to the ghost. She was still staring at me. I glared back this time, daring her to talk to me. Not that that ever stopped them.
She smiled and I baced myself. I knew what was coming.

Excerpt from OVERBOARD, New adult book (Release date TBA):

Hot body alert!
Oh no, it was the guy from the balcony. One look at that ass and I’d recognize him anywhere. Looked better au naturel though. He leaned down and pressed a kiss on the blonde’s cheek. I tried to avert my eyes, but like last night, I couldn’t look away. He had the hottest body I’d ever seen on a man.
He turned and my heart stopped.
Good Lord, he was even more beautiful in daylight. Younger too. Somehow I’d assumed he would be in his late-twenties, but he looked younger. Early twenties perhaps? Our eyes met and my breath caught. Full, sensual lips lifted in a half-smile as though he knew I’d been staring at his ass. And drooling. And remembering last night.
He started toward me, his stride purposeful, broad shoulders, narrow hips, and powerful legs deliciously wrapped in designer jeans. He had to be six-three or four, which was tall for little five-six me. The black T-shirt spread taut over his broad shoulders and hinted at the rock-hard six pack I’d glimpsed last night.
His medium-length dark hair was thick and wavy, but his most striking feature was his eyes. They were so pale they looked silver. Throw in the strong chin and chiseled jaw, and high cheekbones and you had a man who could easily grace the covers of any fashion magazine.
He skirted around tables and people, his eyes not leaving me. Every instinct in my body told me to look away, ignore him, but like last night, I couldn’t look away.
“Excuse me, miss,” a man said behind me and I realized I’d been rooted on the same spot in a crowded restaurant. How humiliating.
“Sorry.” I whipped around and scooped the first offering on the buffet. Eggs. He was right behind me. I couldn’t explain how I knew. I just did.
“It tastes like crap,” he said in a smooth, deep voice, the effect on me startling. Something primal scuttled under my skin. I shivered.
“I love crap,” I said and reached for the bacon.
“Greasy,” he said.
I wanted to turn around and order him to leave me alone. I had enough crap dealing with one man who wanted my body at a crazy price without dealing with another messing with my head.
“Let me buy you breakfast and a decent cup of coffee,” he said, his voice dropping an octave. The timbre of his voice was sinfully seductive.
I wanted to continue ignoring him, but I had to make it clear that I wasn’t going anywhere with him. I turned and looked into eyes so full of raw sensuality my jaw dropped. Holy crap, how do women let him walk down the street without attacking him? Up close, those silver babies were lethal.
His brows shot up. “Is that a yes?”

OKAY: Sorry for spoiling the tour, but I had to share these teasers .

Excerpt

I rolled over in bed, trying to ignore the alarm. A song was playing that I’d never heard and the bed felt different. I opened one eye and sat up, looking around in shock and horror. I was in my bedroom at my human family’s home. But I had gone to sleep in my room in the castle. I should have opened my eyes and found myself there. Sighing, I turned the alarm off. My room was completely different. Things had been moved around, there were new things that I didn’t recognize, and the walls were even a different color. Rubbing my eyes, I tried to figure out what was going on. What was the last thing that I could remember? The memories of the last months at the castle filled my mind…. What had happened? Why couldn’t I remember how I’d gotten here? My dad came in. “What are you still doing in bed?” I stared at him. He had a new haircut and was wearing new clothes. He didn’t usually buy new clothes and he never changed his haircut. “It’s graduation day. You don’t have time to waste. You’re giving the big speech today,” he said, smiling as only a proud dad could. Graduation? My graduation wasn’t for another year and a half! Like my ex-friend, Emma, had said: that was practically forever. “Are you kidding me?” His face went pale. “No, Alexis. I’m not. Tell me that you haven’t forgotten.” How could it be my graduation day? It wasn’t even Christmas of my Junior year yet. “Janet!” my dad called out. “She’s having another memory lapse! Come in here!” A memory lapse? Another memory lapse?
