MONDAY MADNESS, New WIP & all

Sorry I took a break from blogging the past week, but my brain needed a rest, so kicked back and rejuvenated with a good book.

1.      I finally read Unwind by Neal Shusterman. If you haven’t started reading this series, you should. Why? One, the movie is coming out soon and if you are into horror or chill-factor, you do not want to miss out. Two, Unwholly, the second book in the series was just released amid rave reviews.  Just bought it.

The series is based in a dystopian world where they got rid of abortion but instead parents can choose to unwind their children between ages 13 and 17, have their body parts and organs harvested and given to other people. This way, the children don’t really die. Some even retain memories of their past lives. It is all in how the unwinding is done (no spoilers). Unwind follows three teen escapees who don’t want to be unwound. There’s adventure, romance and a moral dilemma. Think about it? When a child refuses to behave or acts out, should you unwind them? It’s New Age discipline. Be a good child or I'll unwind you...scary. Oh, my problem with the series is the multiple POVs. My daughter, who introduced me to the series, loves it. It drove me nuts. Still can't wait to read Unwholly.

2.      I started fast drafting my next WIP. Will keep you posted. Do you find it easier to fast draft a sequel or a new story? This is a sequel and for the entire week, I couldn’t get my characters to talk to me…sigh...hence the kicking back (LOL). I like new WIPs better. They give you room to play around with your characters. When writing sequels, you must stay true to the previous books, which meant praying and begging them to come back and chat with you.

3.      My next adult romance book will be out Oct 15th -woohoo, and I can’t wait to share the trailer. To see the trailer, stop by dult romance blo, E.B. Walters Weblog or my YOUTUBE channel. Let me know what you think. If you review adult romance, e-mail me and I'll add you to the list of my reviewers.

COVER REVEAL: Fireblood by Trisha Wolfe

Fireblood

To save a kingdom, Zara must choose between a prince who could be the answer and a rising rebellion that threatens to take control.

When Zara Dane is chosen to marry Prince Sebastian Hart, son of the man who ordered her father's capture, Zara knows she must fight to save everything she loves from ruin.

Being betrothed to the prince means a life trapped behind the towering stone walls of the Camelot-forged realm. Under the watchful eye of the prince's first knight, Sir Devlan Capra, changing her future becomes difficult.

When an unlikely rebel reveals the truth about the deadly secrets that fuel King Hart's twisted world, Zara's path to rescue her father becomes clouded by deception. The Rebels clear her path by forcing Zara's hand with an ultimatum: sway Prince Sebastian to join the Rebels, convincing him of his father's evil nature, or they will take him out.

But Zara is uncertain about a future under the Rebels' command and where the prince's heart truly lies. She must decide who to trust, what to believe, and what she's truly fighting for before the king destroys all of Karm, including her heart

Cover Reveal: Kelly Hashway's Stalked by Death

Woohoo, I just wanted to share this amazing cover with you! The cover of Stalked by Death, book two in the Touch of Death trilogy by Kelly Hashway.

Stalked by Death

Jodi knows that any slip-ups made by the Ophi—a special group of necromancers born under the 13th sign of the zodiac—will fall on her shoulders... and that Hades is just waiting for them to screw up so he can wipe out the Ophi line.

Unfortunately, Jodi has only convinced one Ophi to join her school: A hot guy named Chase who jeopardizes her relationship with Alex. Jodi loves Alex, but Chase can enhance her powers with just a touch—making her stronger than any Ophi has ever been.

Her mixed emotions send her powers surging out of control, and the dead start rising without her conscious summoning—exactly what Hades doesn't want! If she chooses Alex over Chase, she may lose the battle to Hades, leading the Ophi race to extinction. If she chooses Chase, she might be able to stop Hades for good… but lose everything else.

Jodi needs to figure things out fast—because death is stalking her at every turn.

Monday Madness

What a weekend.

1.      One, a dear friend of mine took my girls to Lagoon. I couldn’t go because I’m in the middle of edits and have a deadline. *sigh*  What I do for my readers.

2.      The edits are kicking my butt. I’m on the third round and I keep finding the dumbest mistakes. “That” seems to be all over the place…grrrr. It’s time for beta-readers then my editor.

3.      Today, I was supposed to officially start my new WIP and it’s not going to happen. I hate messing with my own schedule.

4.      I won Very Inspiring Blogger award, woohoo!  Thanks, Kelly Hashway.  If you don’t already follow her, you should. She’s an amazing blogger and writer.

I have to tell you 7 things about myself and pass this award to some inspiring bloggers

1.      I’m an extremely private person.

2.      I collect porcelain dolls and mermaid dolls

3.      I hate Mac & Cheese

4.      I could live on vegetable salads and cheese if I could get away with it.

5.      My dream vacation is me, alone at a secluded hotel room with internet, and my computer, so I can write my heart out.

6.      I fear heights. Somehow I always look down and imagine plunging to death then start panicking.

7.      I write both adult romance (contemporary) and YA

I’m passing this award to my girls,Katrina WhittakerCatie V and Mindy Janicke
