Banned books Week!!! Dare to Read #Runes #Immortals by @yaednah_walters, magical runes/Norse mythology
Thanks to BookHounds or Kathy’s blog I am a Reader for hosting this blog hop
Today I took my daughters to the library to borrow some books and our librarians had placed the file of banned books right by the circulation desk. you guys, rock!!!
I explained to my girls about banned books and how minor things can be used to challenge a book or ban it from the library. From books that descriminate against people of a certain nationality, race to sexual orientation to those that some parents and society police think will turn their children to pagan religions.
My series, Runes, features Norse pantheon-the gods and goddesses of Norsy mythology. There is runic magic and beliefs that some might find objectionable.
I say phooey. Books expands our horizon and makes us think.
Read, rejoice and celebrate the power of books.
